Description
5 years after the events of Ragnarok, Thor would be reunited with Mjolnir after traveling back to the year 2013 by summoning it to his hand, deeming him still worthy. He wielded it against Thanos in the initial battle, alongside Stormbreaker, but when he was pinned to the rubble by Thanos and almost gutted by Stormbreaker, Captain America was deemed worthy of lifting the hammer. He wielded it in battle against Thanos and his army, alongside his shield. Once victorious, Cap would return Mjolnir to it's own time, as well as the infinity stones. Mjolnir's story however, doesn't end there, as it was revealed in Thor: Love and Thunder, that Thor's Ex, Jane Foster is now wielding the now reforged hammer.
According to Odin, Mjolnir was forged by dwarves, from the core of a dying star. The weapon was enchanted for only Odin and Thor to wield, however it can also be wielded by those the hammer itself dubbed worthy of it's power. Those who are deemed unworthy can be weighed down and not get up, such as Hulk, Loki, etc. Thor also throws hammer and it would return to him like a boomerang, but also could come to him when he stretches out his hand. Thor could also hold onto the strap on the pommel, spin it in the motion of a helicopter to hover or throw it into the sky, taking him with it, allowing him to fly. The weapon was also believed to be the source of his power, however it merely focused his atmokinetic abilities much better. The hammer shows incredible and virtually invulnerable aspects, such as against the Asgardian Destroyer and even the power of Odin's spear, Gungnir.
I'm worthy of it.
