Description

Where as the STG-44 was the precursor to the M-16 and the ME-262 was the precursor to the modern day jet fighter, this was the precursor to the lightsaber used by the Jedi and the Sith. The Forcesaber was an invention designed and developed by the sentient humanoid species known as the Rakata. Like the lightsaber, these weapons came in a multitude of colors from blue and green to red. A major risk attributed to the Forcesaber was that any user of the weapon, whether it be members of the old Jed'aii Order or Infinite Empire, the weapon would manipulate the user to succumb to evil due to it's ties to the dark side of the force. According to legend, this weapon divided the dark side from the light side of the force.

Similar in build, the Forcesaber was an energy blade built for combat. The crystals used in the weapon are all synthetic, artificially grown in a lab. Like the lightsaber, the Forcesaber was also customizable in terms of design and not standard.

The Forcesaber actually had none of the defining features present in a Lightsaber: no activator stud, energy gate, recycling power pack, blade emitter, none of that crap. A Forcesaber required only one's skill in the Force to materialize its' blade, and even then; the individual must have a mindset equivalent to that of the user (such as when Dathomiri Human descendant Tythan, Shae Koda was in possession of Xesh's Forcesaber she was unable to activate it due to not possessing a Dark side-based mindset like him).

The going-theory as to why a Forcesaber requires a Dark-siders mindset was probably because most of the Rakatan-originating Forcesabers were made with Lignan as the base material: a currently rare force-sensitive metal known for imbuing a Force Sensitive with enhanced abilities in the Force, however in its impure state the metal is able to seduce one towards the Dark Side. Chances are that the vast majority of materials that the Rakata built utilized some degree of Lignan as a base; along with the Star Forge quite-possibly being a Lignan furnace in and of itself (where it draws in energy from the nearby star and converts its mass into construction materials to build ships and weapons for whomever has the Star Forges keys in its ignition) and is able to directly synthesize Lignan.

Had the Je'daii been patient enough and had enough time to better research the Forcesaber to find a method of wielding it without sacrificing Balance in the Force, the galaxy as we know it would have never come to be: No dark-sided Forcesabers means no Force Wars. No Force Wars means no Jedi Order. No Jedi Order means no Hundred-Year Darkness, which means no Sith Order, which means ABSOLUTE BALANCE between the Light and Dark in the Force for 25,000 years.

And since the Sith Order was spawned from the Jedi Order, and both sides have heavy influence within the political world of the Galaxy either as Protectors or Conquerors, this means that the accumulated events over the past 25,000 years are nothing more than just another prolonged and bloody chapter of the Force Wars in and of itself, only having spread out and evolved from what was an internal dispute over what direction the Force should belong to into the very fate and destinies and doomsdays of millions of worlds and the billions of species that inhabit them.
